Questions to ask a dealer
Get every answer in writing
- Is this home built to the HUD Code or to state and local building code?
- What exactly is included in the quoted price, and what is billed separately?
- Who is responsible for permits, inspections and the foundation engineering certification?
- Will the home be titled as real property, and who handles title retirement?
- What happens to my deposit if financing is not approved or the site fails a permit?
- Which lenders have you closed with on this exact model in this county?
- What is the warranty, who honors it, and how are service calls scheduled?
- What is the realistic delivery and set timeline, and what causes delays?
